Handwoven & Embroidered Stripe Cotton Bag

Handwoven & embroidered cotton with detachable handle. Wear it as a hand held or cross body bag.

Indigo base with multi-colour stripes inspired by the “Climate Stripes” created by Professor Ed Hawkins.  Bag is hand woven and embroidered. 

 This bag has been co- created by TAMAYO X MAUNA DHWANI FOUNDATION 

The entire bag from growing the cotton on a farm, to spinning the yarn, dyeing, washing, and tailoring is completed by the women artisans themselves at their various centres in the Udala region of Odisha, making it a truly community-crafted product that is aimed at considerably reducing their carbon footprint. 
Through the Mauna Dhwani Foundation’s initiative, these artisans have revived their ancestral skills and established sustainable livelihoods.
