Bag has a detachable handle, designed for both hand-held and crossbody use.
Developed in an indigo base with multi-colour stripes, the design references the “Climate Stripes” concept by Professor Ed Hawkins—translating environmental data into a wearable format.
Produced through a fully integrated artisan process, the bag is constructed from cotton grown, spun, dyed, and woven within a single community-led system in the Udala region of Odisha. Each stage—from raw material to finished product—is completed by women artisans across local centres, ensuring material traceability and controlled production.
This piece is co-developed in collaboration with Mauna Dhwani Foundation, supporting the continuation of regional textile skills within a structured, income-generating framework.
