Silk Modal Tamayo Print Scarf

Imagine your best friend putting their arm around your shoulder, the sense of comfort, love, warmth and safety you get from that simple little gesture, this scarf does that. And that’s not all, it is timeless, ageless and multi-functional. Wear it as a shawl with a dress for a special occasion, as a knotted scarf around your neck or as a head scarf.

The scarf is a very lightweight, open flat weave fabric with a soft drape. It is light, soft and comfortable against the skin. Modal is created from cellulose wood pulp and it takes less water and chemicals to produce than viscose.

The fabric was purchased and printed at Silk Bureau UK. We were not able to access the information on the fabric supplier due to commercial reasons, but Silk Bureau has advised that they source the best AA grade fabrics and have been working closely with their suppliers for many years, visiting the weaving mills to ensure there are ethical working conditions in place.

 Scarf printed using digital textile printing technique and AZO--free dye certified inks. This method uses less chemical and water than traditional methods of printing. The disposal of water is managed through approved channels and local authority checks ensure high effluent standards. Waste fabrics are collected by a recycling specialist who shreds them and uses the fibres as bioenergy. Any plain fabrics offcuts are donated to charity.
